Go Baby Go! Ride on toy car modification clinic

AJE is happy to share this local resource with our families!

Go Baby Go needs more drivers!

For the past 3 summers our service-learning Go Baby Go program has helped build & modify over 40 ride on toy cars for young children with mobility delays –https://www.sidwellsummer.org/bethesda-camps/community-service.

The 7-10th grade participants building the cars are part of a nationwide program started at University of Delaware and are developing STEM skills as well as learning about and working with children with a variety of sensory and mobility delays.  We have 3 more weeks of building cars this summer and need to identify at least 6 more ‘drivers’ to receive these FREE cars!

Please help us by passing on this email to any neighbors, work colleagues or other people in your community that might have a child that could benefit from receiving one of these FREE cars!  In the past, we have had children with down syndrome, cerebral palsy, leukemia, and a variety of brain issues causing gross motor delays.  We also work with physical therapists and pediatricians who have patients that would benefit from one of these vehicles.

Interested families can contact us at summer@sidwell.edu for more information.  A video about the program is available here as well!

Thanks so much for helping support our Go Baby Go program!
