Information about COVID-19, HIPAA and access to telehealthcare

There is increased flexibility around HIPAA right now because of COVID-19.  The increased flexibility allows healthcare providers to serve patients where they are through commonly used apps like FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom in order to provide telehealthcare. This bulletin also explains when and how healthcare providers can share information about a patient’s healthcare during the COVID-19 response.
