SPACEs In Action invites AJE families to the Early Learning Series

SPACEs In Action‘s Early Learning Committee invites AJE families to the Early Learning Series through Zoom for a fun, interactive training on the Birth To Three Act law. Join us for three Thursdays starting September 10, 2020 at 6 pm for an interactive training. We will highlight how fully-funding this law will shape the essential child care system that we need in the nation’s capital. We will illustrate the importance of maternal and child health through stages on each series and break out into engaging discussions too critically think about how we can step into our power and further this dream together.

You don’t want to miss this! The deep dive will creatively educate and inform different ways agencies will uphold the Birth To Three law – ie. Department of Behavioral Health/DBH and holding them accountable for implementation. Join us in the four-part series of the Early Learning Series as we build up the momentum of achieving racial equity in the for FY22 budget season and budget seasons to come for DC families and children. A budget season that is effectively handled by DC Council members who supports placing fiscal relief into the programs in the B3 law rather than pouring into the business industry and MPD. Preparation is key. Let’s continue to build the capacity of SPACEs In Action leaders to engage with decision makers, media and others to advocate for the revenue we need to make families’ lives better for years to come. Over the course of the series, we will discuss our long-term plan to continue to strategize and create plans to engage impacted people in the campaign to expand access to childcare, health services and raise wages of early learning professionals in Washington D.C.
