Update on Our Work During the Coronavirus Emergency
Because of our concern for the well-being of our client community, staff, and volunteers, Tzedek DC is moving our operations online during the current public health emergency. We will continue to take intake for cases and legal/credit/debt issues by phone (202.274.7386), email (rg[at]tzedekdc.org), and through our website. We will not be conducting in-person intakes through at least September 5, 2022.
DC's debt collection moratorium has ended. Debt collection hearings in the District of Columbia Superior Court have started and are entirely virtual. More information can be found on the DC Courts website here.
In addition to handling debt collection matters, Tzedek DC is also available to help with fraud, scams, and other consumer concerns related to the Coronavirus outbreak, including fake virus tests, predatory loans above the legal interest rate cap of 24%, and illegal price gouging.
