The District of Columbia Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) is putting together its next 5-year plan. We call this the 2027 – 2031 DDC State Plan. To decide what goals and activities to include in the Plan, we want to know what DC residents with developmental disabilities (DD) and their families need. Please join us and help us answer the question: What would help people with DD and their families live the life they want to live?

Community Listening Forums
WHAT: Community forums are organized, facilitated discussions with advocates, families, service providers, and residents of the District. The information they share during the discussions shapes what we will work on in the 2027-2031 DDC State Plan.
WHY: These sessions help us build stronger connections with the people we serve and learn what matters most to them. We will focus on their priorities and concerns.
WHEN: The Community Listening Forums are currently scheduled from June to December 2025.
Friday, July 18, 2025 – 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Virtual)
Who: Community leaders, advocates, professionals who work for community organizations or government agencies, and other District residents

Community Survey
