From the Department on Disability Services: TechFirst Toolkit
The DDS TechFirst Toolkit is a helpful guide for planning teams and providers. It’s designed to support the use of technology that may help people with disabilities live more independently, with greater privacy and choice.
The Toolkit includes:
- Easy-to-follow steps for planning and using technology
- Best practices and tips for success
- Resources to support training and learning
It also supports DDS policies on Remote Supports and Assistive Technology, and assists providers in using tech in safe, person-centered ways.
The Toolkit is a living document—DDS will update it as policies and practices are implemented or modified. You can find the Toolkit on DDS’ website by clicking here.
