This Saturday, February 7, DC Consortium is hosting a free Advice & Referral Clinic with a special focus on criminal record sealing consultations.

Please note that criminal record sealing assistance will be offered on select Advice & Referral Clinic dates throughout the year.

The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, in collaboration with the Neighborhood Legal Services Program, will offer one-on-one criminal record sealing consultations as part of its Advice & Referral Clinic. This clinic is designed to help community members remove barriers to employment, housing, and other opportunities created by past criminal records.

In addition to criminal record sealing, volunteer attorneys will provide free legal advice, brief services, and referrals on other D.C. and federal civil legal matters, including:

• Housing
• Employment
• Consumer law (including bankruptcy)
• Family law
• Public benefits (SSI/SSDI)
• Health law
• Tax law
• Probate matters

The clinic will serve up to 100 clients, and interpreters, including ASL, will be available. Clients are encouraged to bring all documents related to their legal issue.
