Have you ever used Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS?)

– Researchers in the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Home and Community-Based Services at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab are looking for people who receive HCBS to help them with a research project. This is a study for Shirley Ryan Ability Lab. 

What is this study about? 

– This is a study to help researchers test a survey. Researchers want to make sure the survey will give them the right information. 

What will people in the study do? 

– Answer questions about their daily life and HCBS. 

– Complete two or more 10-minute surveys (online, via Zoom, or via phone) and receive a $30 gift card for each completed survey.

– Complete the same surveys 2 to 9 months later for $40 per completed survey. 

Who can help with the study? 

– People who have ever received HCBS, even if you do not receive them now. 

What are HCBS?  

– HCBS are services that help people live in the community. Examples of HCBS are:

1. Personal care (dressing, bathing, toileting or eating)

2. Help with daily tasks (cleaning, grocery shopping, meal prep, running errands)

3. Home health care and therapy
