Podcast seeking parents to talk to about Medicaid redetermination

AMCHP is a national non-profit association that leads and supports programs nationally to protect and promote the optimal health of women, children, youth, families, and communities. In 2021, AMCHP launched a new podcast, MCH BridgesMCH Bridges is the official podcast of the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP). This podcast aims to inspire and guide actions that will improve the systems that impact maternal and child health populations. MCH Bridges aims to uplift stories and people from the MCH field by centering the voices of the public health workforce, people, and communities most impacted by inequities, and individuals and families with lived experiences.

The Medicaid redetermination process is having a devastating impact on health insurance coverage for vulnerable children and families across the country. In the coming month, AMCHP plans to develop a podcast episode highlighting the urgency of the Medicaid redetermination process and real impact it is the having on families. We would like to interview parents and caregivers about their experience with the redetermination process.

The process for recording an episode takes anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour. AMCHP will provide ample time to prepare podcast guests before the recording, so they feel comfortable with the process. Participants will receive $150 as a token of appreciation for participating in the podcast episode.
