The Smile Bringer Singers are a performing/community service organization dedicated to spreading joy and creating a positive social impact in the local community through the power of song and dance. When we teach kids about nutritious foods and involve them in the kitchen, we set them on a path toward a healthy lifestyle. That is why Kids in Action is proud to offer Kids in the Kitchen led by our very own registered dietitian, Brittany Shapiro. This month’s theme is healthy St. Patrick’s Day treats. Kids in the kitchen will be offered every 2nd Thursday of the month at The HSC Pediatric Center. Space is limited! You must register to attend. Teen Night | Fri., Mar. 13 | 7:00pm-8:30pm | 1731 Bunker Hill Rd., NE
Teen night is the 2nd Friday evening of the month! Teen night is for kids ages 11 and older. It is a chance for teens to come and hang out with their peers in a fun, safe environment. This month’s theme is March Madness! Come create your own basketball team names (using foam stickers) and play in a rock, paper, scissors bracket tournament, Jenga tournament, Go Fish tournament, NCAA Mascot Madness, and so much more! We are taking the recommended precautions for the safety of our staff, families, and partners, and to help minimize the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), by changing how we work and serve DC families.
As of Monday, March 16, 2020, until further notice:
*All AJE staff is working remotely.
*AJE intake sites at Mary’s Center and the DC Office of Administrative Hearings are closed.
*All in-person scheduled trainings are canceled.
During this time, our staff remain available to assist and support families and professionals by phone and email.
