DDS Person-Centered Thinking Virtual Training Modules – June 2nd – 16th

As an educator or job site manager of youth or adults with disabilities, you may wonder how best to identify and offer support in a way that promotes independence and self-determination. The Department on Disability Services offers a six-part live virtual training about the foundational principles of Person-Centered Thinking (PCT) along with discovery, everyday learning, and management tools. This content, in combination with hands-on activities, is designed to answer your questions in an encouraging environment.

In June, there are spaces available to you and your colleagues to attend this training. If you are interested, please send Emily Ornstein, PCT Project Manager at the Department on Disability Services, an email at emily.ornstein@dc.gov and she will answer any questions you have and complete your registration.

The six-part modules in June are from 10AM to 1PM on the following dates:

1.   Wednesday, June 2nd

2.   Thursday, June 3rd

3.   Monday, June 7th

4.  Wednesday, June 9th

5.  Monday, June 14th

6.  Wednesday, June 16th
