AAP Partnership Opportunity for Caregivers and Young Adults – AAP Trauma-Informed Care Project

APPLICATIONS DUE 10/6 | AAP Partnership Opportunity for Caregivers and Young Adults – AAP Trauma-Informed Care Project

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is recruiting 6 young adults and 6 parents or caregivers to serve on a Family Partnership Team that will inform AAP staff and experts on efforts related to the CDC-funded project Building Capacity for Trauma-Informed Pediatric Care. The Family Partnership Team will include a Caregiver Panel and a Young Adult Panel. We want to partner with young adults and caregivers who have experienced trauma or adversity (or whose children have experienced trauma or adversity), and who would be willing to share their personal experiences with the healthcare community to help support pediatricians and other health care clinicians to provide trauma-informed care to children, teens, young adults, and families.

Members will participate through July 31, 2024, and will be eligible to receive $1,000 to support their participation. Applications are due on Friday, October 6th at 11:59pm CT.
