AJE would like to share with families The District of Columbia Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is examining access to special education and transportation services in D.C. for students with disabilities. The Committee will examine if policies, practices, and procedures limit access to these services on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or national origin, or in the administration of justice.

On Wednesday, March 20th from 12:00pm-2:00pm the Committee will host a briefing to hear from  Advocates for Justice and Education, Inc., and some of the families we work with who have direct experience with special education services in D.C. We encourage you to share this with your networks.
