AJE would like to share resources from the ODR’s May Newsletter about the upcoming District’s Olmstead Townhall. This event is the second of three public meetings aimed at fostering collaboration between community stakeholders and District agencies. The Olmstead Townhall meetings seek to enhance community-based services for individuals with disabilities in housing, employment, healthcare, and transportation. During this gathering, we will review the District’s past Olmstead initiatives, engage in interactive discussions, and collectively generate invaluable insights. These insights will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of the new 2025 – 2027 Olmstead plan. This event offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow advocates, gain fresh perspectives, and actively contribute to discussions on how the District should prioritize programs and resources in the forthcoming Olmstead plan.
