The Out of School Time (OST) Commission is Accepting Applications!

AJE knows that families of students with disabilities often struggle to access out-of-school time programs, and those programs often struggle to provide reasonable accommodations and understand their obligations, even when they mean well.  Are you interested in helping solve these problems?  In making sure that families of students with disabilities have a voice in OST programming and policy decisions?

Maybe you are interested in becoming a member of the OST Commission!  Apply here to be considered for an upcoming appointment.

You can learn about the OST Office’s work by reviewing the FY25 Learn24 Network Annual Report. The report highlights major accomplishments across the Learn24 Network, including nearly $75 million in citywide OST investments and more than $27 million in OST Office grants supporting 145 nonprofits and nearly 19,000 youth. It also features updates on agency partnerships, program quality efforts, and the ongoing work to expand equitable access to high‑quality out‑of‑school time opportunities across all eight wards. Read the FY25 Annual Report here.

After submitting your application, please email ostcommission@dc.gov so the OST team can notify the Mayor’s Office of Talent and Appointments (MOTA) of your submission for processing.
